There are a lot of survey sites out there, but E-Rewards is one of the most unique ones. A corporate partner needs to invite you to E-Rewards. This is difficult to accomplish because you need to get on the email list of specific corporations. You never quite know when your invite link will come.

Don’t worry though, we’ve laid out our review of E-Rewards and will show you how to get an invite if you really want to join E-Rewards.

What Is E-Rewards?

E-Rewards has been in operation since 1999. Its parent company is Research Now Group, which is a market research company that is based in Plano, Texas. RNG is currently led by CEO Gary S. Laben, which owns other market research sites like Peanut Labs. Their parent company isn’t accredited on the Better Business Bureau (BBB).

E-Rewards is a survey site that you can join by invite only. Unfortunately, only corporations can invite you to join. Usually you are invited after you purchase one of their products and they decide they want your feedback on it.

What Is Market Research?

Companies conduct market research in order to make their products better. E-Rewards helps corporations do this research by sending you surveys and paying you for your opinion. Therefore, E-Rewards then gets paid a little bit for each survey it conducts.

Basically, E-Rewards acts as the middleman between the company partner and customer, so that the company partner can make their products and service better to improve themselves.

How Do You Join E-Rewards?

E-Rewards partners with corporations that produce products to help them conduct market research. You must provide your email information to these corporations first before E-Rewards will send you an invite. This could be if you fill out a warranty, sign up for a brand’s mailing list, etc.

After a little bit of sleuthing, it seems you could be invited to the E-Rewards panel if you join the mailing list of its airline or hotel partners.

The only one with a blatant invite link currently on its website is on the British Avios site. For that, you’ll get 750 British Avios miles when creating your site. The only issue here is that you need to be a UK citizen for that specific link. You’ll need to create a British Avios account if you want to join via that link — otherwise they can’t deposit the bonus miles.

If there is another airline or hotel point system you use more often, you might want to sign up for their mailing list instead because they offer a small bonus. You don’t want any orphan points floating out there, you want to collect the same kinds of points so you can pool them together for a free flight or hotel stay.

I’ve been told Gamestop is also a partner, but can’t find a link on their website.

E-Rewards only allows one account per person. E-rewards has shut down people with multiple accounts on the same IP address. Try not to complete the surveys too quickly and answer honestly and consistently.

Who Can Join E-Rewards?

You must be a legal resident of the US and over the age of 13 to join E-Rewards.

In order to sign up, you’ll have to give basic info such as your name, age, birthday, email, address, etc after you get an email from one of the E-Rewards partners. Make sure to sign up within 30 days or your invitation will expire.

Should You Use E-Rewards?

The problem with E-Rewards is that you can’t join without an invite. Other survey sites just allow you to sign up for surveys. E-Rewards is exclusive — even we can’t send you an invite. We’re not a partner with E-Rewards. You can sign up to specific email lists to wait for an invite.

In the meantime, check out our favorite survey sites: SwagBucks ($10+ in sign up bonuses), Inbox Dollars ($5 sign up bonus), MyPoints ($10 sign up bonus), Pinecone ($3 per 15-20 minute survey), Toluna (test physical products and keep them), and Survey Junkie (best survey interface).

What Kind Of Surveys Are Available On E-Rewards?

E-Rewards will send you a survey sent straight to your email every week. You can simply click on the email link to start your survey. There are also surveys directly on the site you can access as well.

E-Rewards is slightly annoying because the surveys are on the longer side and you can get screened out far in the survey and only get paid a small partial amount.

How Do You Get Paid On E-Rewards?

E-Rewards pays out Opinion Points within a day after completion of the survey.

The minimum cash out for E-Rewards is 60 Opinion Points, which is equivalent to $25. This means each E-Reward Opinion Point is worth 42 cents. E-Rewards denotes Opinion Points as $’s. For every $.25 E-Rewards says it will pay you, that’s 10 cents instead.

You need to verify your phone number with E-Rewards in order to collect your earnings. Verification with a phone requires you to enter a code sent directly to your phone.

You can redeem your Opinion Points once per quarter for gift cards, magazine subscriptions, airline or hotel points and miles, or small discounts on products. E-Rewards doesn’t offer cash, check, PayPal, Visa, or Mastercard unfortunately.

Redemption Options On E-Rewards

There are more than 50 retailers you can redeem gift cards for. Here are just a few:

Pros Of E-Rewards

If you’re into travel hacking, the thought of earning airline miles and hotel points might seem very alluring to you. Other redemptions include magazines, discounts on products, and gift cards.

E-Rewards is the only survey site out there where you can redeem airline miles and hotel points.

Cons Of E-Rewards

E-Rewards doesn’t pay out in cash or check, which is frustrating.

A corporation needs to invite you, so it’s hard to join E-Rewards, which might be frustrating. Other survey sites usually just allow you to sign up immediately.

Survey sites like E-Rewards don’t pay as much as other ways to make money, but if you’re bored and standing in line, it might be worth it.

Some members report their accounts being deleted, so added with everything above, it might not be worth it to sign up with E-Rewards and instead go with other survey sites that pay cash.

  1. I got invited to e-rewards via Gamestop, and was a pro member (Gamestop’s paid service) for essentially free for several years. I just had remember to generate a free coupon and renew every year. Sadly, I forgot this year 🙁

    1. Oh no :(! I’ll add GameStop to the list, couldn’t find info on the Gamestop site, but maybe they send them out every so often?

What other cool stuff do you do Joe?
